Refund & Cancellation

How subscriptions, cancellations and refunds work. This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service and the buyer terms of our payments provider, Paddle.

Last updated: 12 June 2026

Paddle is our merchant of record

Payments for WeatherLabs are processed by Paddle, who acts as the merchant of record — meaning Paddle is the seller for the transaction, handles VAT/sales tax, and processes refunds. As a result, you can request a refund either from us (we will arrange it with Paddle) or directly from Paddle. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

Refunds

The Service is in beta, and we want you to be able to try it without risk. Our goodwill stance:

  • 14-day refund on a first purchase — if, within 14 days of your first paid subscription payment, the Service materially failed to work as described (for example, persistent outages or the API not functioning for your use case), contact us and we will refund that payment.
  • This is in addition to any non-excludable statutory rights you may have, and to Paddle's own refund handling.
  • Because the Service is metered, we may decline a full refund where there has been substantial successful usage in the period, but we will always look at requests fairly and in good faith.

To request a refund, email contact@weatherlabs.io with your account email and the approximate purchase date, or raise it with Paddle from the receipt they sent you.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard (Manage billing) or by emailing us. When you cancel:

  • your subscription does not auto-renew for the next period;
  • you keep access until the end of the current billing period you have already paid for; and
  • we do not offer pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a period when you cancel mid-cycle — your access simply continues to the period end.

Failed payments & suspension

If a renewal payment fails, Paddle may automatically retry it. We allow a 7-day grace period from the failed renewal during which your access continues. If payment is still not completed after the grace period, your access may be suspended until billing is brought up to date. You can update your payment method at any time from Manage billing.

B2B note

The Service is offered to businesses. The statutory 14-day "cooling-off" right of withdrawal that applies to consumers buying online does not generally apply to business customers; the goodwill 14-day window above is offered by us regardless. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.
